Snowflake
A beautiful cake, shaped like a snowflake, if small, becomes something very precious… And this is our case.

I must say I’ve always been wary of silicone moulds for cakes and of silicone in general… Yes, I know that in some cases they have superior characteristics of practicality, but how can I say… Maybe I’m romantic and fond of old materials, I mean, I have a cordial dislike for food-grade silicone and have always avoided using it in my kitchen.
However, I have been given a nice cake mould, snowflake shaped, and I had to to try it (I can resist everything but temptations!) …

Therefore, I rolled my sleeves up and prepared a simple cake, that reminds of the snowflake effect in color and fluffiness…
Ingredients:
300 gr of flour
250 gr of sugar
250 gr of vegan milk
1 coffee cup of vegetable oil
16 gr of baking powder
(p.s.: The stated quantities are higher than those I used for the cake mould, as I wanted to prepare other surprises… obviously, reduce the quantity of the ingredients in proportion)
Method:
Mix all the ingredients, to get a liquid / creamy consistency and pour it into the silicon mould (previously greased).
Place it in the oven (preferably ventilated), previously heated, at 160°C and bake for about half an hour (but, as usual, every oven is different… use your experience).
Here’s the cake, “spied on” while baking in the oven …

Once done (always check with a toothpick), remove from oven and let it cool (if you can resist).
Once cool, gently remove the cake from the mould, place it on a small plate and sprinkle with vanilla sugar…

Oh yes … remember that it is still a snowflake!

Sweet, small, inviting and absolutely irresistible!
And this is how we just had it, half an hour ago… A micro slice with a spoonful of vegan whipped cream, a drizzle of strawberry juice and a little granulated sugar…
