Red cabbage and apples
This is nothing special.. but it is very tasty! I ate it cooked by a german friend of mine (deutschFrau π )
Ingredients (for about 4 people):
1 red cabbage
2 apples (250 gr)
1/4 cup margarine (50 gr)
1 red or green onion
3 cloves
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp wine vinegar
salt
black pepper
sesame seeds for dress
Directions:
Wash and thinly slice the cabbage. In the meantime melt the margarine in a pan with the onion (fry lightly). Add the cabbage and let it cook for a while. Add chopped and peeled apples.
Add sugar and cloves, salt slightly and cover with a glass or two of water.
Cook at medium heat for about 1 hour, paying attention not to burn it!
If the water evaporate, add more.
When it is partially cooked, add the wine vinegar and let it cook again for 5 minutes.
Serve the dish dressed with sesame seeds.
I prefer the raw red cabbage salad,
ok.. I take it as a compliment.. π
Unfortunately I can’t eat raw food (it’s a long story).. so I cook everything!

Actually.. it is not so long.. I’m only allergic to almost every raw vegetable and fruit(allergic .. not intolerant..). I’ve been to a doctor.. done every type of analysis.. and there is nothing to do. π If I eat something that I’m allergic.. I can have an anaphylactic shock! So I have to bring always with me adrenaline injections…It is already happened to me once, but fortunately I stopped it in time just with cortisone.

That ugly history, I have my husband who is allergic to shellfish and the only smell the sick …. even if this thing to me not regret π
