Pea burgers with bulgur
After the bean burgers here are the pea burgers!
Ingredients:
250 g canned peas
60 g bulgur
one onion
2 tbs margarine
a handful capers
breadcrumbs
salt
pepper
Directions:
Boil bulgur. Smash strained off peas and finely chopped onion (I mixed everything with my hands), add strained off bulgur and mix with enough breadcrumbs for a quite solid mixture.
Form some balls, give them a patty shape and dip them with breadcrumbs. Heat margarine over low heat and fry burgers about 3-4 minutes each side.
I served them with some puntarella (a variety of chicory).
I’ve got the idea about capers from Edera that used them instead of olives when she made the bean burgers.
They’re very nourishing and can be prepared in oven also.
