Pear Clafoutis

Inspired by a picture seen on a magazine, I took the recipe for cherry clafoutis and I have made it with pears. It ‘s really delicious and has a delicate texture.

Ingredients:
2 small pears
Spices: nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves
a little sugar, a little water
180 gr. tofu
4 tablespoons soy yogurt to natural
85 gr. brown sugar
150 ml of soy milk
2 tablespoons potato starch
60 gr. all purpose flour
A hint of vanilla
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons of liqueur of your choice (I used lemon)
icing sugar

Method:

Peel pears, cut in half and remove the core.
Cook with spices, a few tablespoons of sugar and water as needed to cover at least half of them.  Simmer for 20 minutes
Meanwhile …
Mix tofu, yogurt and sugar until creamy smooth.  Add soy milk, a pinch of salt, vanilla and liqueur. Sift flour and add it little by little together with potato starch and yeast, mix until you have no more lumps.
Use a baking sheet and line a cake tin.  Sprinkle a bit of brown sugar on the bottom of the pan. Pour the mixture over this and place the pears cut in half on the top.  Sprinkle the surface with a little more brown sugar. Bake at 190 ° C for 45-50 min. When the surface is golden it is ready.  Let cool. Sprinkle with icing sugar.

    Gorgeous! Creative veganizing. When you make a clafoutis with the fruit other than cherries (like yummy pears, apples, plums, etc.) it is called a flaugnard. 🙂

    Sounds delicious, I’m going to give this one a shot.
    Just to clarify: when you say yeast in the description you mean baking powder right? That’s what is listed in the ingredients list.

    I followed this recipe, but mine didn’t ever set up. Is the baking temperature listed correctly at 190? Anyone else have this happen?
