Pistachio “pesto”
This is my favourite kind of pesto!!! Really fantastic!!!
Ingredients:
pistachios 250 g (preferably from Bronte (Sicily)!)
a pinch of black ground pepper
a pinch of nutmeg
a pinch of salt
olive oil
seed-oil (I’ve used sunflower)
Method:
Blend all the ingredients together with an immersion blender and add the two kind of oils while blending. That’s all!!!! 😉 So easy, isn’t it??
Very good for pasta or spreaded on bread or even used as ingredient to prepare other special dishes!!!
Throat that makes me this pesto!
This is truly yummy!!! It will have maybe 300cal a spoon, but who cares! At least pistachioes are healthy for your heart. Never tasted pistachioes from Bronte, I know they’re really famous, everyone talks about them.I wouldn’t even know where to find them here, actually.
Anyway…have you ever tasted pistachio butter? It’s amazing!!! It’s just crushed and mashed pistachioes, with nothing else…there’s a super here, where you can get it freshly “pureèd”, as you press a button and it comes out…I love it! And, also, you can find hazelnuts, peanuts and almonds butter…but pistachioes is still my favourite. A big hig!
