Spicy bananas
It’s definitely worth trying! It may seem an odd matching…I read it in a recipe book and I liked it.
Ingredients:
(serves 2)
– 3 ripe bananas
– 2 spoonful of vegetable butter (or more of you wish)
– 1 clove of minced garlic
– 1/2 tea spoon of turmeric
– 1/2 tea spoon of cumin
– 1/2 tea spoon of garam masala
– 1 lemon (its juice)
– salt
– fresh chili
Method:
Peel and cut bananas in fairly thick slices (say 1cm). Melt the butter in a pan; sauté garlic, turmeric and cumin on medium hot, until garlic gets golden. Add bananas, a pinch of salt and chili (if you like it). Let it cook 5 minutes more, until bananas become tender. Add garam masala and stir well, trying not to reduce bananas to a pulp. Add lemon juice and keel on cooking until it thickens. And that’s all!
