Hazelnut&Chestnut Hearts Treats
These sweet treats are easy to prepare and very nutritious!
If you serve them as shown they are excellent as a snack in the afternoon or for a feast among friends.
Chestnut flour, hazelnuts and maple syrup combine themeselves very tastily, giving you a sweet break during the day.
The dish is quite high in calories, and it’s rich in essential fatty acids and proteins, given to the nuts, the “good” starches from the chestnut flour and the sugars and minerals from dates and bananas.
Ingredients:
(for 4 hearts)
7 spoons chestnut flour
1 ripe banana
70g of chopped hazelnuts
water or almond milk q.b.
4 dates
hazelnuts for garnish
Method:
In a bowl put 7 tablespoons chestnut flour and combine it with water or almond milk ,stirring to achieve a smooth mixture without lumps.
Now add the dates and finely chopped banana and chopped hazelnuts (leave some for the decoration at the end). Mix thoroughly until the mixture is set and you can create shapes.
In a plate put your favorite mould and pour in the mixture with a spoon, level well off and slowly take the heart out of the mold.
Once you have done all the hearts, decorate them with ground hazelnuts and whole hazelnuts, as shown.
Well…I’ve decided that I’m working too hard and I definitely need energy…that’s why I’m having them in about, say…2 hours!
