Masala Chai


This spicy indian tea is my favourite at all!
Having tasted the Starbucks’s “mash” I definitely fell in love with it and when I’m home I prepare it at all times. I “stole” this recipe from the book “Il gusto della gioia”, which I recommend you to read!

(makes 5-5 big cups)
-1.5 tbsp ground cardamom
– 1.5 tbsp ground fennel seeds
– a pinch of black pepper
– 2 tbsp powdered ginger
– 5 ground cloves
– 200gr not refined brown sugar
– 2 tbsp cinnamon
– 2 black tea bags
– 1500ml water
– 600ml soy milk

In a pot covered with a lid, boil water and the first five ingredients for 15 min. Then, turn the fire off, add sugar, cinnamon and tea and let it rest for some minutes. Add milk, strain and enjoy!

    Yep…I know that Starbucks’ “mash” you talk about…I absolutely love it! But I0ve got the feeling that this recipe is even more tasty ­čÖé
