Bread Croquettes
I “had” to try them! I wasn’t quite in the mood of “what am I going to have for lunch today”…working in a restaurant, by lunchtime you do no have that much desire to eat, after all the food you see passing in front of you or the disgust to see what people has the “courage” to eat! I haven’t been cooking for me for a while and I wanted to try out this bread-croquettes!
Ingredients:
* 1 bread roll
* Water
* Salt
* Pepper
* Mint
* Garlic
* Parsley
* 2 tablespoons flour
* 1 tablespoon of starch
* Breadcrumbs
* Sesame seeds
* A drop of beer
Method:
Soak the bread roll with water and squeeze it well, soak it again with the drop of beer and season it with all the aromas. In a small bowl combine starch with flour with some water, to form a batter, not too liquid. Add this mixture to the soaked bread and stirr. Eventually, add bradcrumbs to achieve the consistency of a croquette. Now, the secret is to make tiny croquettes, so they will fry perfectly…and they will be very crunchy! Pass them in the bradcrumbs and in the sesame seeds, and fry in hot oil until they get golden. And that’s all! I’ve had them drizzled with olive oil, as I love it, and with grilled vegetables!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!! I definitely HAVE to do these!!
