Cardamom&Chocolate Tart
After purchasing cardamom for the forst time I started looking for some treats… found it, veganized, tested, approved
Ingredients :
For the pastry
175 gr flour
75 g margarine
A pinch of salt
Cold water
For the cream:
175 grams of dark chocolate
195 gr vegetable cream
1 teaspoon of agar agar
2 tablespoons sugar
4-5 cardamom pods
Method:
Rub flour and margarine together to get a dough, add some salt and a cold water to obtain a smooth and hard dough. Put in refrigerator for an hour, wrapped in a cling film. After this time, line a mold of 22cm diameter with the dough, place the baking paper on its bottom and put some dry beans over… bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees, then remove the baking paper with the beans and brown for 10 minutes . Meanwhile prepare the cream: remove the black bits from cardamom pods and crush them in a mortar or coffee grinder, chop the chocolate … put the cream in a pan and before it reaches a boil add the chocolate, cardamom, 2 tablespoons sugar. Low heat, add the agar agar and stir for a minute .. taste and add some sugar (if you want it sweeter) or add other seeds to taste .. Put the cream on the pastry, let it cool well and refrigerate for at least 3 -4 hours. Decorate as desired. On mine, I simply put icing sugar.
P.S. : Cardamom conquered me!
