Corn Soup

…when a omnivorous cook take matters in hand and prepare a vegan dinner! Great Aimone (our friend).
This is the appetizer.

Ingredients:
1 can corn
1/2 onion
salt
water
cumin
extra virgin olive oil

Method:
In a saucepan, heat the precooked corn with 1/2 chopped onion and water as needed.
Meanwhile, in another pan, sauté the cumin with oil; then strain it through a tea strainer directly into the pan with the corn.
Mix everything with the hand blender until it becomes very creamy.
As you see in the picture, we used as a decoration mini seitan cubes, sauteéd in pan on high heat and whole corn kernels. A dash of soy sauce and that was it!
I hope I wrote the recipe correctly. I’ll let it read to the cook, so I can correct something if I’m wrong 😉
It was very good, a sweet and spicy.

    it must have been so thick and creamy! and the diced seitan is a very good idea 🙂
