Mr Crumble!

I incidentally found the recipe of this vegan english sweet and I just wanted to try it, naturallyyyyyyyyy! It’s a sweet treat very very quick to prepare, and it’s good warm, maybe with with ice cream 🙂

To make two cups like those in the photo I used

(for the topping)
50 gr of all purpose flour
50 grams of coconut flour
80 gr of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of margarine
(for the filling)
a dozen of strawberries
lemon juice

1. Wash the strawberries and cut them into pieces; season them with lemon juice and sugar and let them flavour;
2. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180 degrees;
3. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the topping, amalgamating them well with margarine: must become like crumbs
4. Pour the topping (without pushing it) over the strawberries, covering them all and bake for half an hour!

Here is the Crumble!
Just out of curiosity I’ve tasted it piping hot .. but you should wait …
Coconut wasn’t in the original recipe but in these days I’m putting it everywhere!

It can be done with other fruits as well… Next time I want to try with apples or cherries 😛
Not particularly photogenic but good!

    Yep, crumbles are delicious! And pretty healthy I would say. The idea of adding coconut is cool, but I’r add just freshly grated rather than in flour

    I know that it’s very good! I used to have a lot of crumbles when I was in the US some years ago. Tasted with different fruits, always excellent

    Wonderful! I was just looking for something like that 🙂
