Chocolate & Pear Tart
The combination of chocolate and pear is a classic of homemade confectionary, here reviewed in a veg version 🙂
I prepared this tart today for lunch and I was very satisfied with the result, therefore I polished two slices off in half an hour 😛
Ingredients:
250 gr of all purpose flour
50 gr cornstarch
120 gr brown sugar
1 pinch of salt
baking powder
50 ml of soy cream
soy milk as needed
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
a bar of dark chocolate
1 pear
1 tablespoon of pine nuts
Method:
Combine first the dry ingredients, then add oil and soy cream. The dough should be similar to that of a pastry, so if it seems too hard, add a little soy milk. Divide the dough into two portions, one a bit bigger than the other (say 2/3 and 1/3); roll out the bigger over an oiled cake tin; now, arrange the pear, cut into thin slices, all over the surface; then arrange the roughly chopped dark chocolate over the pears; and then some pine nuts here and there. Finally, take the remaining portion of dough and crumble it, covering the filling unevenly. Bake at 180°C for 20-30 minutes and serve it cold, so the chocolate coagulates and becomes even better!
Quick and tasty 🙂
