Pumpkin Bread Rolls
I prepared these bread rolls for Halloween … but I can post them only now … the idea was to make them pumpkin-shaped …but they’re not that resembling … ok, never mind, just use imagination …
Ingredients:
400 gr of pumpkin
300 gr of flour
200 gr of Manitoba flour (very strong Canadian flour)
1/2 block of yeast
1 tsp of malt
70 gr of extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp of salt
200 ml of soya milk
Method:
Cut the pumpkin and boil it in boiling water. Dissolve the yeast in a little warm milk with malt, then mix it with oil and pumpkin and add, still mixing, salt and the remaining milk. Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes and then let it rise overnight, covered. Divide the dough into pieces of 100 gr and roll them into pellets, which you will let rest 2 hours longer. Create some small strings with the remaining dough, to form the stalk that is on the pumpkin and place it in the center; cut the sides with a knife, as if they were the grains of the pumpkin and brush with oil. Bake at 180°C-200°C for 15 minutes with a bowl of water.
with the leftover dough I made a pizza with cherry tomatoes, very simple… but really good
