Choco-Christmas
Last night I went to a LAV meeting (Anti Vivisection League) and I wanted to share with the others a “chocolaty”, “cinnamony”, “orangy” and Christmassy sweet treat:-) ! It was a great success and tell you that, even though I always find something wrong in my cakes, this time I just ate it with gusto!
Very soft, and then chocolate-cinnamon orange go really well together…
Ingredients:
Dry:
170 gr of cake flour
80 gr of cornstarch
80 gr of cocoa powder
200 gr of cane sugar
baking powder
1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
orange peel
Wet:
150 ml of soy milk
125 ml of water
1 tablespoon of white vinegar
70 ml of vegetable oil
juice of half an orange
Topping:
50 grams of dark chocolate
a knob of margarine
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C. Put in a bowl all the dry ingredients and mix well. If
necessary, sift cocoa and flour. Add the wet ingredients, mixed together, to get a smooth mixture.
Bake for 40-45 minutes with toothpick test. (50 minutes for a more higher and narrower mold)
Garnish with dark chocolate, melted in a water bath together with the margarine.
I’m not one who celebrate Christmas, Happy Holidays to all of you anyway! 🙂
