Licorice Liqueur
Compared to many liqueurs, this is super fast to make, as it doesn’t require time for infusion.
Ingredients:
200 gr of licorice powder (I find it in organic stores)
½ liter of pure alcohol
1 liter of water + 1 cup
800 grams of sugar
1/2 liter of anise based liqueur
Procedure:
Combine the liter of water with sugar and bring it to a boil, to completely dissolve sugar.
In a separate saucepan melt the licorice powder with a glass of water, over a low heat.
With the heat off, combine the two mixture, stirring thoroughly. Once has cooled, you can add alcohol and anise … stir again and we are ready to bottle.
It’s a delicious drink, especially when served cold.
I’m not particularly fond of alcohol, indeed, but sometimes I love to prepare some homemade productions to be offered to guests or to give away!

Must be delicious! Unfortunately I don’t like that much both anise and licorice… but you’re right, this is great as a gift!
