Rosemary Infusion

For those who think that rosemary goes with roasted potatoes only! 🙂

a sprig of rosemary

Take a sprig of rosemary and plunge it into boiling water. Let it simmer for 10 minutes, remove the rosemary, pour the infusion in a cup and drink.
This is not a recipe as such, but a natural remedy I was taught. This plant has many properties that are just for me, as I have been at home for 11 days with the flu. In fact, rosemary soothes gastrointestinal pain, vomiting, alleviate colon  inflammations, fights neuralgic and rheumatic pains, fights bad digestion and also acts as a tonic, that helps the weakened and exhausted body to regain energy!
As a tonic, it is recommended to drink one cup in the morning on an empty stomach. The flavor is pleasant and fresh.
So, if you have or have had this tremendous flu, like I have, don’t go to the pharmacy, but in the garden!

I enjoy rosemary infusion but I put it directly in boiling water and allow it rest for 5to 8 minutes then i remove the rosemary and enjoy the infusion. However I prefer fresh mint infusion
