Garam Masala Chickpeas
I have been seeing the name of this spice mix for a while, and my curiosity was too high. While preparing this dish my kitchen was filled with a wonderful aroma, a plate of “A Thousand and One Nights” … try it!
Ingredients:
chickpeas
2 cups of soy yogurt
Garam Masala: cinnamon, cloves, cardamom seeds, cumin, coriander, black pepper, turmeric
paprika
Method:
Soak the chickpeas for 12 hours, then cook them for an hour, or use the pre-cooked ones.
Drain the broth and let them dry in pot over a low heat.
Meanwhile, toast the spices, then chop them up to a powder. Add garam masala to the chickpeas, letting them flavour. Then, turn the heat off and add the yougurt. Serve them warm.

they must be so creamy and flavoured 🙂 I like Garam Masala, I did it several months ago and I still have it in my pantry… don’t use it that much as it has quite a distinctive flavour
