Valentine’s Hearts
It’s Valentine’s Day! And it should be right that even those who dont’ have great culinary skills could show to his/her partner a special sweet that, even if simple, will not fail to impress.
Ingredients:
vegan puff pastry
raw sugar
Method:
First, get yourself a roll of fresh puff pastry (check that it doesn’t contain any ingredients of animal origin, such as butter) and two heart-shaped metal molds of different sizes.
Cut the first heart with the biggest one and then use the smallest internally in the outline of the heart (don’t discard the little hearts in the centre, as it can be used for a recipe I will publish soon).
Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper, sprinkle with raw sugar, turn them and sprinkle with sugar on the other side as well.
It’s important to perform each phase quickly, in order to bake the hearts still from the fridge.
Bake at 180°C in the preheated oven (preferably a convection oven) for about twenty minutes, but keep an eye on the sugar, as each oven requires different temperatures and baking times.
As you can see, despite the ease and speed, it’s a very high level result…an excellent result with such a little effort.
Happy Valentine’s Day! .. And let me know how they came!
These are really sweet! Thanks for sharing!
Look great! Well done 🙂
