Hawai’i 2: Tropical Smoothie

Aloha! I prepared this smoothie this morning, while listening to Hawaiian music from my Mac. I selected this piece, with the sound of the surf from the ocean in the background. And also this one, which the radio broadcasts at least 10 times a day. The first video is Maui. And, needless to say, here this is local and seasonal fruit.

Ingredients:

250 ml of soy milk
100 gr of melon
100 gr of strawberries
100 gr of papaya
50 gr of mango
a pinch allspice (I explained here what it is)

Method:
Blend and drink fresh!

And now, more photos of Maui. Below I give my brief impressions of Hawai’i.
First of all, I greet all VeganBlog friends with the sign of VB in the deaf-and-dumb alphabet, I guess everyone knows it.

One of the kiosks at the port of Lahaina (west coast), to book excursions for whales watching

Various kind of shops (mainly souvenir shops) in Lahaina

Two local beauties (very American)

A market of artists at Lahina. This lady paints, and dogs are her only subjects. A good reason make her change her food habits (she said she’s omnivorous), suggesting her to visit VeganWiz.

So hungry! Lunch break on a bench in the park of art exhibition (sandwich with veg ham and veg cheddar cheese)

A freak (there’s plenty of them here)

Oversized motorcyclists

This is a nylon bag with a thick mesh that I bought. It’s not cheap, actually, ($ 12) but I will need it to easily drain out tofu and Concita’s ricotta cheese, giving up with towels and tea towels. I find it more hygienic.

I leave you with this last image of the narrow streets.

Keep on to listen to Hawaiian music … until you get tired.
(Very brief and deliberately superficial, not to bore you. Just to give an idea):
Here in Hawai’i you can breath the relaxation typical of Polynesian lands, the inhabitants of the Oceans, but with the efficient services that only the U.S. can offer, without disnaturing their essence. There are other places in the world of rare beauty like this (Aeolian Islands, for instance, have nothing to envy, and our Mediterranean in general) but it is irritating to see such heavens to be spoiled by the administrator’s negligence.
