Seitan from the Woods

Last night I did not want to make roasted seitan, as usual … so this was born:

self produced seitan
6 champignon mushrooms
1 large white onion
freeze-dried garlic
soybean oil
tamari sauce (soy sauce)

Prepare the seitan following your favorite recipe … in the meantime, in a large saucepan, pour the soybean oil, onion, cut into thick slices, halved mushrooms, seitan, cut into chunks, and garlic. Add pepper without fear.
Add tamari sauce and sautée for a few minutes, until the outside of seitan becomes crispy…  Serve and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley…
Well, what shall I say… we polished it off in a few minutes! 🙂

    wow, this sounds so yummy! I’d also add thyme, it goes really well with mushrooms to give them a “woods” taste
