Tonic Orange Smoothie
With spirulina.
A tonic raw smoothie, made of ripe oranges and spirulina seaweed.
It has restorative properties, being rich in bioavailable minerals, vitamins (carotenoids, ascorbic acid and tocopherol first of all) amino acids and chlorophyll, of which these two aliments are rich.
Chlorophyll and phytonutrients in spirulina help to purify the body, and with the addition of orange juice and zest it helps to mechanically clean the intestines from the drosses. The essential oil contained in the orange zest, finally, completes the cleansing action.
A super smoothie then, useful in moments such as physical and mental fatigue, stress and physical activity.
Ingredients:
4 ripe oranges peeled
1 whole orange
6 dried spirulina tablets
Method:
Wash, peel and cut the 4 oranges into chunks, wash and cut into large pieces the last orange without peeling it, place them in blender, along with the tablets of spirulina. Blend to get a smooth juice, making sure that spirulina has dissolved well in the orange juice. Once ready, the smoothie will have a bright green colour.
Enjoy!
