He he, how can I translate it in English? I would simply say “potato frtters”, sounds perfect.
Let these pancakes arrive on the table is quite tough, so arm yourself with all your will-power!
I love them so much that I prepare them heart-shaped ­čśÇ

Ingredients:
(makes 6 fritters, about 8 cm in diameter)
250 gr of grated raw potatoes, not floury
grated onion
2 tablespoons flour
oil for frying

Method:
Grate potatoes and onion, add a bit of flour to absorb the excess of liquid and then, when the oil in the pan is hot, pour a few tablespoons of the mixture for each pancake. Spread them a little bit, as otherwise they’re are too “fat”.
They should be crispy on the outside, while almost melting inside. Should be eaten immediately, they get limp once cool!
In Germany they comes accompanied with apple compote, you decided how you want to try them, I have them with ketchup (by a well known geran brand though!!!).
