Peppers with Crispy Seitan
Here I am! Don’t hate me, but I’m on holiday and I have a lot of free time! I’m also packing my bags, Sunday I’m going for the first time in Sardinia, I’m excited! The only bitter note, I have to stay two weeks without my kitty, I’d better not to think about it or I’ll a lump in my throat… 🙁
Ingredients:
2 peppers
150 gr of seitan
1 abundant handful of pistachios
rosemary
soy sauce
nutritional yeast flakes
1 shallot
extra virgin olive oil
Method:
Cut the peppers into strips and fry them with the shallot; add salt and rosemary, a trickle of water and cover with a lid. Cut the seitan into cubes and crush pistachios with a knife. In another pan, pour the e.v.o. oil and when it’s hot, add pistachio and seitan , with soy sauce and a pinch of salt (my soy sauce isn’t salty!). Let it brown very well! When the peppers are nice and soft, put them in a plate, sprinkle with yeast flakes and pour the seitan and pistachios over! If you want, you can add some spices to the peppers, maybe a little bit of curry as well! 🙂
