Roby’s Cake
Yesterday it was my husband’s birthday. You must know that he loves simple sweets, pears and chocolate! I had all the ingredients, but I did not know how to compose his cake … Then, in a flash, I prepared this delicious cake, very much appreciated, very good in its simplicity 🙂 I propose it … the matches were absolutely perfect!!!
Ingredients:
1 / 2 vegan puff pastry
2 small pears
2 tablespoons of unsweetened chocolate
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 / 2 cup of almond milk
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
cinnamon
almond flakes
1 sprinkle of lemon juice
Method:
I use the frozen vegan dough, but the most intrepid amongst you can prepare it by themselves, following the recipes on this blog. Anyway, thaw the dough, roll it slightly with rolling pin. Line a baking pan with it, leaving the rims quite high so that you can then fold them over the filling. Prepare the cream with chocolate, sugar, cocoa, starch and almond milk. Should be quite thick; let it on the fire, and adjust the milk. When it’s nice and creamy, let it cool. In the meantime, cut the pears into quarters, and sprinlke with lemon juice to prevent them from blackening. Once the cream is cold, spread it on puff pastry, make some holes on it, add chopped pears, sprinkle with sugar, very little, cinnamon, and almonds. Bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes. Keep in mind that the doses are for my usual baking pan of 13 cm diam. I am very pleased with the result, and especially glad that my husband said that this was the best birthday present! 🙂 🙂
Here it is, the last slice… after taking the picture, it’s gone, slurp 🙂
