Vegan Sacher Torte

This is my first recipe: vegan Sacher torte! As you can see from the photos, I didn’t even have the time to go and get the camera in the other room, that a few slices had already gone!

350 cl of water (or rice milk / soy milk …)
255 gr of sugar cane
140 cl of sunflower oil
340 gr of cake flour, sifted
2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
baking powder (see the package for quantities)
lemon juice
bitter orange marmalade
plain chocolate
chocolate chips

Place all liquid ingredients in a bowl with sugar, then whisk for about 10 minutes, until sugar has dissolved and the mixture is foamy.
In a bowl, sift the flour with baking powder and cocoa, stirring gently, then add the liquid ingredients. Bake it in the hot oven 180°C for 25/30 minutes.
Once the cake has cooled, let’s start cutting it! I cut the cakes with the nylon thread!
You take a long piece of nylon thread (I use a spool of fishing thread, cleaned, of course!).  Let it adhere to the circumference of the cake, then start pulling it gently and, as if by magic, the cake gets cut in halves without even a crumb!
For this cake I managed to make three layers, which I then sprinkled with a little sugar, water and lemon. Then, I filled with  bitter orange marmalade, home-made during the winter.
Then, I melted in a water-bath approximately 100 grams of dark chocolate with a bit of water, poured it generously over the cake to frost it! Finally, I decorated with chocolate chips!
