My first edamame
I finally managed to prepare edamame beans! I chose a simple but effective recipe to taste and enjoy them properly… and guess what? I fell in love with this priceless legume! 😉
Ingredients:
1 shallot
1 medium “beef heart” tomato
150 gr of edamame beans
extra virgin olive oil
smoked salt
Method:
Finely slice the shallot, chop and fry it in a little e.v.o. oil. Once golden, add the edamame beans and cook over a high heat for at least 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the tomato into chunks and add it to the vegetables. Bring cooking to an end and finish the preparation with a sprinkling of smoked salt (trust me, it’s that “un certain je ne sais quoi” … creates a delightful contrast with the sweetness of edamame).
Comment:
The quantity of edamame is obviously indicative, in this case I had it as a main dish, served with a tomato and olives salad.

I love edamame beans, even with just a bit of extra virgin olive oil and salt. Jus as simple as that
