Flat Pita
This is a simple and tasty israeli kind of pita (bread). Very easy to make and goes with salty / sweety tastes…In this picture I served the bread with some tabule salad and olive oil…
Ingredients:
1 cup of chickpea flour
1/4 cup of water
pinch of salt
sweet paprika
baharat
sumac
Method:
In a medium bowl, pour the flour, make a hole in the middle and add the water and spices.
Stir with fingers.
If it’s too sticky – add more flour, too dry – more water.
Heat a regular pan on the stove (without any oil). When it’s hot – take a ball of the dough and make it as flat as you can… the shape should be round.
You can put some flour on your hands while making the pita, so it won’t be sticky.
Put the pita on the pan for 2 min. each side, till it starts to get bit burnt…
Serve hot – you can pour olive oil, sesame, or vegan chocolate…
