Pizzaiola Savoy Cabbage
Simple but amazing!
Ingredients:
1 onion
1 / 2 Savoy cabbage
1 / 2 can of peeled tomatoes
1 or 2 cloves of garlic
extra virgin olive oil
olives
capers
basil
oregano
salt
pepper (or chili)
Method:
Coarsely chop the onion and fry it in a bit of oil, with the garlic cloves cut in four. Meanwhile, wash and cut the cabbage into strips. When the onion gets golden brown (almost brown-ish, but not burnt) add the cabbage, adding if necessary a bit of water. Halfway through cooking, add the tomatoes and shred them roughly with a wooden spoon; add olives, capers and herbs and finish cooking with salt and pepper (or chili). Voila! your wonderful Savoy is ready to be enjoyed!
