My Snack!

Well! Since I’m considered the expert on snacks, I will try not to disappoint your expectations!

Ingredients for the base:
30 gr of wholegrain semolina flour
20 gr of carob flour
1 tablespoon of malt
1 / 2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
water, as needed
Ingredients for the filling:
150 gr of okara
1 tablespoon of rice malt
grated coconut
vegan milk, as needed
Ingredients for the jam:
2 pomegranates
1 small apple
grated coconut

Get the pomegranates, open them and remove all seeds. Put them in a pot, on a low heat, and let them cook stirring often. Liquidize them in the blender and put the juice on the heat again, add an apple and cover, stirring occasionally. Prepare the base with flour, carob flour, olive oil and malt, and set it aside. Meanwhile, get the okara, add a little milk, malt and grated coconut and mix (my okara was still warm, as I had just self-produced milk). Take the jam and liquidize it. Now prepare the tart: place the pastry on the bottom, the okara above and then the jam with a sprinkling of grated coconut. Preheat oven to 180°C for 15 minutes. Let it cool slightly (don’t do as I did – I made it fall for voraciousness), so the tart will remain standing. And voilà!

A tasty snack and lots of protein. 😆

In fact, initially, my intention was to prepare a jam, but while cooking the pomegranate, I realized that I wouldn’t have been sufficient. So, since I was preparing the milk as well, I decided to combine both preparations and to make a nice snack! Did you know that pomegranate is the fruit symbol of fertility? A kiss and a good snack to you all! 😀
