Balsamic Eucalyptus Infusion
An excellen herbal tea, not only to fight the illnesses of this season, but also to keep warm when the cold wind blows.
Ingredients:
1 liter of water
a handful of eucalyptus leaves, chopped
a tablespoon of yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
mint
Method:
Bring water to a boil, pour yarrow, mint and eucalyptus and let it brew for 10 minutes. Sweeten to taste and drink hot.
Comment:
I often prepare this herbal tea during the winter, as I always have the eucalyptus leaves available (I have a tree in our garden); yarrow and mint are very easy to find in the countryside: in summer, I make stocks of them, together with lemon balm, hawthorn, blackberry leaves, and other good and useful herbs. It’s a very effective herbal tea for colds and catarrh, the only treatment I use the few times I get sick. The mint is just to correct the taste of yarrow, not particularly good, and can be omitted or replaced with other herbs (lemon balm, etc…)

I’ll keep it in my mind – seems very effective
