Dried Tomato Pâté

…with grass pea!

Ingredients:
80 gr of grass pea
60 gr of dried tomatoes
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds
red pepper to taste
1 clove of garlic

Method:
Soak the grass pea the night before. Cook them in a pressure cooker for about 1 hour. Soak the dried tomatoes to soften them and remove the excess salt (mine were purchased). When the grass pea is done, blend it with the hand blender, adding dried tomatoes cut into pieces, garlic, sunflower seeds, red pepper and oregano. Add oil and cooking water, enough to get the right consistency, and keep mixing. Pour into it a container and use within 2-3 days.

You can use it on bread or thinned with some water for pasta.
