Liquid Ginger

This liquid ginger comes from the idea of reproducing a detox drink I drank in London… Well, didn’t manage, but the final result was excellent anyway ๐Ÿ˜€ and I will explain why I put it in the “Basic Ingredients” in the comment.

1 l of water
60-70 gr of fresh ginger

Grate the ginger in the jug of the blender, add part of the water (depending on the volume of your jug :-)) and blend it very well. Transfer it into an empty bottle, add the remaining water, shake well and put it in the fridge for several hours. Let it rest, then blend again and strain it. Liquid ginger: ready!

Now, what do you do with this ginger liquid? I used it mainly as a drink, adding more water (it is very strong and spicy) and a bit of lemon … I assure you, it’s really refreshing! Then you can use it to make sorbets, ice creams, ice lollies, as a dressing for fruit salads and, why not, you can add it a to sweets ๐Ÿ˜‰ I still have to experiment with it, but is an ingredient which gives me many cues to think about ๐Ÿ˜€
