Mild vegan cheese
Here I am, again, my dear friends and veganbloggers! π Yesterday I prepared this cheese for you and I hope you like it! π
Ingredients:
100 g of firm tofu
100 ml of soy cream
2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast flakes
1 pinch of salt
2 teaspoons of agar-agar powder
300 ml of cold water
1 teaspoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of mild mustard sauce
Method:
Crumble tofu in a pan and crush it with a fork. Add the soy cream, nutritional yeast flakes, a pinch of salt, 200 ml of water, mustard and mix well with an immersion blender. Dissolve the agar-agar powder in the remaining cold water and set aside. Place the saucepan on the stove, set it on the minimum and stir constantly. When the cheese cream begins to boil, add the agar-agar dissolved in cold water and stir well again. Wait 2 minutes after the boil resumes, then remove the pan from the heat and pour the contents into a bowl greased with olive oil. Keep the cheese cream in the refrigerator for a whole night, before slicing your vegan cheese and enjoy π !

Hi there! I have been making vegan cheeses for about a year now and have yet to find an appealing option for a 6 year old=( I need a cheese that I can shred and put on pizza. It doesn’t even HAVE to melt as he likes those mini pizzas cold with some cheese on top! Everything I’ve made does not work for him. He is extremely picky, it needs to be white and hard, and he probably can’t even remember what cheese tastes like now so just mild. Would this one work ya think?
Also, would soy milk work in this to replace soy cream?
Hi Asher! Nice to meet you π
Of course you can replace soy cream with 200 ml of soy milk, using only 75 ml of cold water to dissolve the agar agar powder, instead of 300 ml π ! In a short time I’ll post a new stringy cheese that melts on pizza π ! Wait me, please π and apologize my english π³ !
